The first wave of 3.2 million baby-boomers turned 62 last year --- at the rate of 365 an hour! 

GLBT baby boomers have been challenging the old rules for our entire lives. Patterns of switching pronouns and fitting-in are simply no longer acceptable.   But what about our retirement years?

Is this the retirement you have planned?

At 70, your partner of 30 years becomes too ill to stay home.   So her children swoop in, pack her up, sell the house (it’s in her name), and move her to   Florida.   They forbid you to contact her.   You’re homeless.   An agency steps in, and places you in a nursing home.   But when the families of the other residents find out, they don’t want you there.   So you’re moved.   And moved.   And moved...

No. Nobody plans this. But sadly, this is what happens to us. Why? Because we’re still not accepted. We still live without legal protections.
